JDSU earns Huawei’s Excellent Core Partner Award for third time in past four years
At its recent core partner convention in Shenzhen, China, Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, one of the world’s largest telecom networking equipment manufacturers, granted JDSU of Milpitas, CA, USA its Excellent Core Partner Award for a third time in the past four years. JDSU previously received the award in 2010 and 2012 for its “service, solutions and close collaboration”. The award is the highest honor given by Huawei to any of its base of about 1000 suppliers.
JDSU received the 2013 award for its “innovative network technology, focus on high quality, consistent on-time delivery and strategic partnership with Huawei”. JDSU provides a wide range of solutions to Huawei that include optical components, modules and transmission/transport products for the development of next-generation networks that support more flexible network management and higher data rates of 100G and beyond. JDSU also has offices throughout China, located in Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Suzhou.
“Our partnership has evolved over the years into a very strategic collaboration that is helping to advance Huawei’s next-generation network designs,” commented Alan Lowe, president of Communications and Commercial Optical Products at JDSU.
