Skyworks launches high-reliability DC-8GHz hermetic GaAs IC SPDT absorptive switch
Through its Milpitas, California-based Isolink subsidiary, Skyworks Solutions Inc of Woburn, MA, USA (which manufactures analog and mixed-signal semiconductors) has launched a low-loss, high-performance wideband DC-8GHz hermetic gallium arsenide (GaAs) IC single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) absorptive switch.
Suitable for high-reliability space, satellite, and defense applications, the ISO13286 performs with 50dB isolation at 4GHz and low loss of 1.5dB at 4GHz. Testing is available to the screening requirements of MIL-PRF-38535 Class B and S, in addition to the required quality conformance inspection (QCI).
The ISO13286 die is produced with Skyworks' GaAs pseudomorphic high-electron-mobility transistor (pHEMT) process, which has shown radiation tolerance to 100kRad. The device is provided in a 7-lead surface-mount technology (SMT) 0.385-inch x 0.345-inch x 0.065-inch package.
Samples and evaluation boards are available. Pricing depends on quantities.
